Suggested weather: A few clouds, with some snow depth, at midday.

Here is a quick description of the 16 waypoints:

1-LSTA.  Take off to the east from the Raron airport.  By the way, runway 10 is only 900m long.

2-Visp.  Make a right-90 turn.  Keep right as you come to the Y.  Accelerate down the valley like a screaming banshee.

3-Zermatt. The iconic mountain will come into view upon reaching the town.  Add power and climb along the NE spline to get over the peak.

4-Matterhorn.  At the top, reduce power.  Take in the sight of the snowcapped ranges.  You will follow the rugged ridge line westbound.

5-Bionaz. There will be a steep and narrow valley leading you down to the lake.  Try not to redline the IAS too much.

6-Lago di Place Moulin.  Overfly the lake, continue heading down the next valley.

7-Valpelline.  A sharp right here will carry you into a short gorge.

8-Ollomont.  Another right turn here will launch into your second power climb.

9-Bagnes.  As you approach the ridge, look out for the opening to make the next left turn, dive again.

10-Lac de Mauvoisin.  The short descent puts you over this second alpine lake.  Don’t slow down too much here, as you’ll need the energy for…

11-Right turn & Climb.  At the north tip of the lake, hard right and pull up—full power.

12-Le Pleureur.  Over the ridge, idle power to leap down above the third lake.

13-Lac des Dix.    Make a left over the water to head towards the north.  Last chance to make some noise to shake up the quiet valley.

14-Hérémence.  Prepare for landing.  Engage speedbrakes if you got them.

15-Sion.  Hopefully, you have shed enough speed and altitude, because at this point, you’re already on your left base and it’s time to turn a 2-mile final…

16-LSGS.  Runway 25 at Sion is long.  Don’t forget to breathe.  Lots of folks on the ground are watching/judging your landing.

Hope you’ve made it back in one piece.  Oh, I can’t wait for a fighter to be available to fire up an afterburner.

Tips: Rely on the in-game VFR map for navigating the flight plan.  The proper points to make turns are difficult to pick out at first while maneuvering about.  After a few runs, you’ll be able to conquer the course forward and backward.

Aircraft doesn't have enough juice for climbs and takeoff?  Jettison some fuel and the copilot.
