The flight shows you some of the spectacular scenery of the South Island. Start off in Manapouri flying bush flying along canyons with snow peaks on each side before descending into Milford Sound. From there you go up over the mountains to Queenstown and then flying on past beautiful lakes taking in the amazing colors before flying past Mt Cook and returning to the rugged terrain & rivers of the West Coast & Franz Josef glacier. Best time to fly is early spring (Oct-Dec) with snow still on the mountains. This is based on my experience living in NZ
