Apparently Ireland is named after a goddess, she was known as Eriu. Which is Eire in modern Gaelic. The exact same name as Ireland is known as in the mother tongue. Also there are no native snakes on the island of Ireland and there are more Irish living abroad than in Ireland... All we know is that the Spitfire looks darn good in front of the Cliffs of Moher...
