Take time to explore the border between western Montana and northern Idaho. Visit 12 small-ish airports along the way, each with unique approaches and great views. Plenty of highways, roads, rivers and lakes to keep you honest if you try to VFR this without your GPS, but plan ahead.. the mountains get tall very quickly, and you will need to pass a few peaks to hit all of the stops. Some great almost blind approaches too! Altitudes will range from 2500 to 6500, possibly higher, depending on where you cross the main mountain chain.
