This is a round-trip out of Alice Springs, taking in the scenic wonders of the outback. It's a great opportunity to practice low flying, as the area is mostly flat with well-defined low hills. The total distance is 294 nautical miles. It's a two-hour flight in a GA retractable, less in a warbird or jet (and, arguably, more fun!) Apart from the town of Alice Springs, the only "point of interest" is at the westernmost point where you turn around Gosses Bluff, the site of an ancient meteor impact.
