Gulf War: Black Jet Over Baghdad | Defense Media Network
Notes:
- Because of the field elevation, the pressure altitude, the density altitude, and the F-117's long takeoff run, it could not take off with a full load of fuel,
- The first rendezvous with tankers was around 100 miles North of Khamis (that's about 25 minutes),
- The second (& third) rendezvous with tankers was just outside Iraq,
- F-117's were over Iraq itself for around 60-70 minutes,
- The total mission time, on average for an F-117 during 'Desert Storm' was about 5.5 hours.
