You will embark on a journey through the Austrian, Swiss and French Alps. Begin in scenic Innsbruck and watch for glaciers as you fly through deep valleys between the magnificent mountain peaks. Tour Zurich and Geneva before crossing into France to the Paul Ricard Racecourse. Total length of the course: 560 nm; Estimated flight time (all legs): 4 hours and 20 minutes; Number of legs: 7
We begin our journey through the Alps by heading to Telfs, the town around the right-hand bend in the valley, along the Inn River, from which Innsbruck takes its name.
Continue along the Inn to the entrance to the tunnel and the quarry.
Turn right through the next valley, still along the Inn, and see the small bridge: the Pitztalbrucke.
See where the railway meets the river; the river bends in this town LANDECK.
Follow the valley to the right, this town BACH may be difficult to see in the mountain shadows.
St. ANTON: Follow the Arlberg Schnelstrasse to 7.
Follow the mountain road and turn sharp right up the hill and into the next valley. The road is your most reliable guide.
Follow the road that winds left through the valley, to Stuben, with its sharply winding road and red roof.
Parallel to the road and the railway where the track temporarily deviates to the right, with a swimming facility and Kaspars Seestube.
At the end of the valley turn right and find the larger town and railway depot at Bludenz.
The river continues into a narrow valley, look for this hill with the town of FELDKIRCH on either side.
On this hill is the Wildpark Feldkirch; here you turn right heading 359 until you cross the A13.
Follow the A13 and prepare for landing RWY28 at St. Gallen Altenrhein (Airport Elevation 1,306 ft).
