24/2/1969 - 'The Vietnam War'. The Night was approaching as Spooky 71, an AC-47 gunship, took off from Bien Hoa Air Base, a few miles northwest of Saigon. For the next six hours, Spooky 71 would fly a combat air patrol circuit over the Saigon/Tan Son Nhut area, ready to respond wherever its fire support was needed. Before the night was over, Levitow (a Loadmaster) would perform an act of astounding bravery for which he would ultimately be awarded the Medal of Honor.

'KL' - the Capital City of Malaysia is home to the World's tallest twin-skyscraper (the Petronas) at 1483 feet & the 2nd tallest skyscraper (Merdeka 118) at 2227 feet. After visiting 'KL', we head out of town on a lengthy stretch for Perak, Taiping, Penang Island then Butterworth... Also of note, is Penang Island's two bridges - 13.5 km & 24 km long (!)

Apparently New Caledonia's marine waters harbour the second longest double barrier reef in the world, which reaches a length of 1,500kilometres and much of the enormous species diversity in New Caledonia is yet unclassified.
